Finally - after much reminding from those of you near and dear to us that tell us 'we need to see pictures' it was time for an update. Although believe me there is a list as long as my arms of the 'must haves' by 'tomorrow' from the contractor and don't even think about moving and who is doing that or the fact that there is not a single window treatment in the entire house and no time to get to the store to order them either!! I think in "Scholten world' the end will be a big relief from the point of view of choices/deadlines/weekends of store trips/house projects etc but a journey that we will hopefully look back on with a smile - we certainly have had some stories along the way too, from the 6 foot snake living in the crawlspace that we could never catch to the "Bronzetone" window paint that when we turned up one Friday night was Tango Orange! The never ending amounts of dust/debris that gets transported between houses and left in cars, to the mounds of books/website printouts/idea sheets/budget and expeses sheets etc that seem to be on every surface of our rental house! Life will certainly seem a little on the quite side after these months of running like headless chickens from pillow to post! but here goes for those of you that care enough to be checking this site here are the updated photos, I am heading out tomorrow to get the new one's we now have drywall up, paint on a couple of walls, the new wood flooring laid in the kitchen, the kitchen cabinets are due to go in Wednesday, the vanity and granite top in the bathroom will be measured up this week, floors will be refinished, roof repairs done etc etc ..... you get the point we are atleast at this point a good stage into the process. The new windows are in but the pictures below are up to the stage before which would have been framing and insullation the spray foam has been sprayed on every outside wall and vaulted ceiling hoping that beings as we are moving in time for Winter we should be nice and cozy!! Here they are I will update the most fun pics this week of the starting to look completed house but this will get you a little updated from the last pics, H x
